Our educational programs provide a platform for youth engagement and community growth. Our free workshops enable ALL residents to learn about the benefits of Urban Agriculture while also providing practical knowledge for efficient vegetable production.
Grower Certification Classes
Attendance to this workshop certifies your homegrown produce to be part food distributions. Certification allows for a Co-Harvest member to become 'Active', making them eligible for subsidized membership. This is a workshop for those who have time to tend/maintain/harvest their Micro-Farm. This workshop is FREE and available to all who want to learn the basics of running a Micro-farm.
Youth Outreach
We are dedicated to offering sustainable agriculture-based alternative education, employment, & drop-out prevention programs that engage local teens in land & community-based projects, working to break cycles of hunger, poverty, inequality, and oppression. Our educational programs include a for-credit work/study program for at-risk youth. Our outdoor workshops also involve public speaking, non-violent communication, conflict de-escalation, & healthy relationship building.
